Corporate Counterintelligence & Security
Tom Liffiton established CCISEC in 2006, to offer quality counterintelligence and security education and consulting services to companies and government agencies. Tom's background includes twenty-three years as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For fourteen years as a case agent and subsequently a squad supervisor, he conducted counterintelligence and economic espionage investigations in the FBI's New York Office in Manhattan. In the Phoenix Division for seven years, he brought his counterintelligence experience to the computer crime program as the National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC) Coordinator.
For the Phoenix Division Tom established Arizona's InfraGard Program, developing information sharing partnerships between the FBI, the private sector, and other government agencies. In 2006, he was named the InfraGard Coordinator of the Year. Since his retirement from the FBI, Tom has become active as a civilian in the InfraGard Phoenix Chapter. Through InfraGard he continues to work with the Arizona Department of Emergency Management, the Arizona Counterterrorism Information Center, and the FBI on efforts to make Arizona and the Nation more secure.
Tom has a B.A. from Arizona State University and holds an M.A. from St. John's College in Santa Fe. He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Advancing Technology.
